THE ROLE: Events and Communication Trainee
Kreab always seeks to be the best in its field, and we are looking for excellent people in the market to further reinforce our team. We are seeking to recruit one dynamic trainee to join our Events and Communication practice for a 6-month period. The selected candidate will work along Kreab consultants to support them in association management, organization of events, and communications for clients. The trainee role will involve working with Government Affairs and EU policy makers at senior levels.
This traineeship could be applied to earn credits or work placement with your University, should this be required.
YOUR TASKS
Association management and project assistance (40%)
- Provide administrative support to clients (e.g., database update, mailing list management, prepare meetings and taking minutes).
- Coordinate and collaborate with clients’ internal teams and external stakeholders (e.g., liaise with external services providers).
- Assist in maintaining relationships with Members of the European Parliament and key institutional stakeholders to advance clients’ strategic initiatives.
Events organization (40%)
- Support in designing and managing various event formats (e.g., networking events, panel discussions, educational seminars) for Kreab and clients.
- Manage invitations, registrations forms, events communication and promotion.
- Assist in managing events logistics including liaising with venue and suppliers.
Communications and social media (20%)
- Oversee Kreab and clients’ online channels and support in the maintenance of the website.
- Assist in ideating and implementing communication strategies.
- Ideate and craft written and visual content.
Required experience and education
- Degree in European studies, communication, marketing or similar field OR proven understanding of EU Affairs and communication.
- Previous experiences in association management, events organization and communication are an asset.
Interpersonal skills
- Capacity to collaborate effectively within an international team, requiring both cultural flexibility and a team-spirited approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Communication and language skills
- Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate information clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
IT skills
- Microsoft Office programmes
- WordPress or similar website management tools
- Social media platforms and editing tools (e.g., Canva)
- Knowledge of Adobe editing tools (e.g., Indesign, Illustrator, After Effects) is a plus
WHAT WE OFFER
Location: The role will be based at Kreab’s offices at Rond Point Schuman in the heart of the EU district.
Package:
- Remuneration base on trainee status
- Meal voucher: 8€ per day
- Internet allowance: 20€ per month
- Teleworking allowance: 30€ per month
- Public transport reimbursement
