Kreab Digital Director
Borja Bergareche is a digital communication and media executive with more than fifteen years of experience as a journalist, international advisor and lawyer. He is specialised in corporate innovation, new technologies and global affairs.
He has worked in Madrid, London, New York and Brussels, and from 2014 up until joining Kreab, he held the position of innovation director of the Vocento Group. There he headed the launch of the new Vocento Media Lab, led the company’s digital innovation projects and managed relationships with technology companies such as Google, Facebook, Apple and Amazon. As a journalist, he held the positions of digital deputy director, correspondent in London and Editor in Chief of Internacional in the ABC newspaper, he has also written in El Correo (Bilbao), El País and La Nación (Buenos Aires). He is a European consultant for the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) in New York, and author of “Confidential Wikileaks.” In the past, he has worked as an advisor for international and constitutional affairs in the European Parliament and the European Commission. He has a degree in Law from the University of Deusto (Bilbao) and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Columbia (New York), with a Fulbright scholarship.
