María holds a Law Degree and a Master in Town Planning Law, both from the University of Valencia. She holds a second Master’s Degree in Private Banking & Wealth Management from the Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU. In addition, she obtained the European Financial Planning Association’s (EFPA) Certificate.
In mid-2023, she concluded her time as a member of the Spanish Parliament in the 13th and 14th legislatures. During this period she stood out for her high level of activity and held various positions, including chair of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and spokesperson for the Ciudadanos group in seven parliamentary committees: Pensions, Economy, Digital Transformation, General Budget, Labour and Social Security, and Relations with the EU. She was also rapporteur on more than 30 laws passed; and participated in more than 300 initiatives to control the Government, making nearly a thousand parliamentary interventions in this regard.
In her previous professional career, she worked for 17 years in different management positions with clients and managing teams in the financial sector in entities such as MyInvestor, Banco Popular, Santander Private Banking (Banif) and Andbank España.
María has repeatedly been recognised as a go-to person in economic matters in social media by several corporations such as Crédito y Caución, Mujeres Consejeras and Twitterstolen. At present, she is a regular contributor to press, television, and radio media, such as Onda Cero and El Español.
