The 23rd Financing Europe Conference: A New Era for Strategic Investment
Next week, on 12 May 2026, the annual “Financing Europe” conference returns for its 23rd edition, hosted by KREAB Worldwide, ForumEurope, and Barclays.
With the 2024-2029 Commission agenda focus on delivering the green and digital transitions while securing strategic autonomy, this year’s conference will tackle how to finance these priorities and confront the investment gap that has constrained the EU potential for decades.
Amidst intensifying geopolitical headwinds, Europe needs to effectively mobilise increased capital, such as private savings, into the real economy. To achieve this goal, the Savings and Investment Union (SIU) aims to simplify regulations to enable European businesses to scale up.
Financing Europe 2026 will convene leaders from European industry, global finance, and EU and Member State policymaking to examine the urgent choices ahead.
Discussions will focus on the EU’s capacity to act, and how greater political ambition, regulatory reform, and supervisory convergence might shape Europe’s competitiveness and resilience in the years ahead.
