Rafael Catalá

He has a law degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, in 1985 he passed the official exams to join the Superior Body of Civil Administrators of the State. He was General Director of Civil Service of Spain, until 1999. Until 2002, he was Assistant Secretary of the Spanish Treasury. For the subsequent two years he served as Secretary of Justice of Spain. He was Minister of Justice in Spain under the presidency of Mariano Rajoy between 2014 and 2018. In 2016 he took on the ordinary office affairs of the Ministry of Development.
