Senior Advisor
Sara Livadeas is a social care expert with 30 years experience delivering home care, residential and nursing care, supported living, extra care housing, specialist care and community services across large populations and in multiple sites. She is known as an advocate for older and disabled people and the care teams that support them. Sara is a qualified Social Worker with an MBA. As Deputy Director at Oxfordshire County Council she commissioned services for adults and children, jointly with the NHS. While Chief Executive of a large care operator she successfully led her organisation through the pandemic where her work in keeping homes open to visitors was nationally recognised. Sara has dealt with many crises involving both operational and reputational issues. She has an interest in helping people to build their personal brand. Sara co-authored ‘Later Life Living: Housing with Care’, published by the Urban Land Institute in 2019 and wrote a good practice guide entitled ‘Opening a New Care Home’, sponsored by Care England, in 2018.
