​Before joining KREAB, Kota spent 20 years as a reporter at Mainichi Newspaper, Japan’s oldest national daily newspaper. He covered various topics, including criminal investigations and politics. As a correspondent in Washington D.C. for four years, he reported on US-Japan relations and domestic issues, frequently traveling to cover President Trump’s overseas visits. In Tokyo, he led a team of political reporters, covering the ruling party coalition, administration, and elections.
