Associate Director
Mieko Araki provides international public relations assistance to government agencies and private corporations, utilizing her extensive work experience across the public, private, and academic sectors.
Prior to joining Kreab, she worked at US and Japanese consulting firms, the University of Southern California, the Embassy of Japan in Jamaica, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). At the Embassy of Japan, she served as Cultural Attaché, playing a key role in major initiatives, including the Prime Minister’s historic visit to Jamaica, as well as educational and cultural programs and overseas public relations efforts. At JICA, she contributed to projects promoting gender equality, poverty reduction, and enhancing human resources from developing countries through technical cooperation training programs, aiming to cultivate future Japanese enthusiasts.
She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Human Sciences from Waseda University and is the first Japanese national to earn a Master’s degree in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California.
