Ágústa Thorbergsdóttir

Ágústa Ýr Þorbergsdóttir is a senior executive and EU affairs specialist with over two decades of international experience in renewable energy, sustainability, and public-private collaboration. Before joining Kreab,  she lead the EU regulatory and funding strategy for Fortescue’s global energy initiatives, she has a distinguished track record of driving green energy projects, securing institutional funding, and aligning complex regulatory frameworks across the Nordics and Europe.

Ágústa has held leadership roles in both public and private sectors, including Country Manager for Fortescue Future Industries and Director at Navigo, a consultancy she founded. She also serves as a board member of Nordic Ignite, supporting early-stage climate and tech ventures across the Nordics and Baltics.

Her experience includes program management at the European Free Trade Association in Brussels, advising on EU energy policy, and representing Icelandic interests in international forums. She holds an LL.M. in International Law and International Relations from the University of Kent.
