Retail sector specialist Helen Dickinson joined Kreab in July 2013, bringing with her nearly 20 years of sector experience. Helen is a former BBC journalist and documentary maker and has a strong background in customer service, corporate positioning and employee engagement. In 1995 she joined the John Lewis Partnership as Head of Communications for Waitrose with the additional responsibility for developing the Waitrose brand. In 2001 she moved to John Lewis where she was tasked to develop a strategy to lead the John Lewis brand into the modern arena. In her role as Communications Director she was responsible for external communications, internal communications and public affairs. In 2012 she was awarded Communicator of the Year by Corp Comms magazine. Having left John Lewis in 2013, she oversaw the Bonmarché communications operation through its IPO. She worked as Interim Communications Director for the New West End Company with a specific remit to energise a disaffected internal team.
