Maria Soares

With a degree in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a postgraduate degree in Journalism from the London School of Journalism. Maria began her career at Banco BPI and later decided to dedicate herself to economic journalism. For 10 years she was a journalist at Canal de Negócios, at SIC Notícias, where she took part in the launch of the channel, and at Jornal de Negócios, where she coordinated the online edition. She was Press officer in the Finance Minister’s office in 2001/2002. She has been part of the JLM&Associados team since 2009 and has accumulated experience with clients from a wide range of areas: finance, health, science, environment, infrastructure, and education. She took over as Managing Director of the company in January 2021.
