Senior Advisor
Michael Koplovsky is a former senior U.S. diplomat, trade negotiator, university professor, and private sector Brussels lobbyist. He is currently a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe and Senior Advisor at Kreab Worldwide.
During his diplomatic career, he successfully concluded bilateral accords on five continents, led U.S. delegations to trilateral NAFTA trade talks, and conducted multilateral negotiations at the UN and at the OECD. In Brussels, he promoted and defended commercial and economic interests in the areas of competition, taxation, digital policy, and intellectual property. He also served as Director for Mexican Affairs and Deputy Director for Andean Affairs at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). Prior to joining the U.S. Government, he worked in the World Bank’s Strategic Planning Division. Mr. Koplovsky was a Visiting Professor of Organizational Science at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
He holds degrees from the Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and the U.S. Naval War College. He has also studied at the Goethe University in Frankfurt and the Universite Libre de Bruxelles’s Institute d’etudes europeenes in Brussels.
