Pierre Francotte

Pierre was the Chief Executive Officer of Euroclear and the Chief Executive Officer of Euroclear Bank SA after joining the company in 1993. During his time in Euroclear he was also Head of the Legal Division, Head of the Transaction Processing division and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Pierre served as an Assistant General Counsel of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and served as a non-executive independent Director of Belfius Bank SA/NV until April 14, 2015. After more than 30 years in the financial industry, Pierre is currently a management member of Belgium’s College of Resolution of Banks within the National Bank of Belgium and teaches at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics.
