Ryo Nimura

Ryo Nimura is a public relations and public affairs consultant with a background in journalism who aims to make a positive impact through communication.

Until January 2026, he was seconded to the Financial Services Agency (FSA), a Japanese government agency and a financial regulator, for one and a half years as a Deputy Director at Strategy Development Division, Strategy Development and Management Bureau.

He currently supports both international and domestic communications for government and corporate clients and has worked for several clients and sectors including energy, technology, advertising, management consulting, manufacturing and media, as well as government entities.

He began his career as a TV reporter for NHK, and as a consultant he has previously worked at Edelman and Dentsu Public Relations in Tokyo.

Ryo graduated National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) with honors and is currently enrolled in doctoral program at Keio University, Graduate School of Law. He is also a tourism ambassador of Niigata prefecture.
