Kreab announces changes in its global management structure

Eugenio Martínez Bravo, named the new Executive Vice President of the firm for Latin America

Carmen Basagoiti will take on the management of Kreab España as new Managing Partner

Kreab, a communications, reputation and public affairs consulting firm, announced organizational changes in its global management structure today. Eugenio Martínez Bravo will take on the direction of the firm’s operations in Latin America as the new Executive Vice President of Kreab Worldwide. From this position, Eugenio will report directly to the global Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Charlotte Erkhammar, and will be responsible for the business development and coordination of the consulting operations. This appointment reinforces Kreab’s commitment to the consolidation of the network and growth in the region, where it already has offices in Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Cuba and Chile.

Carmen Basagoiti has been named the new Managing Partner of Kreab España, with responsibility for the Madrid and Barcelona offices, replacing Eugenio Martínez Bravo. Thus, she takes on the responsibility for business development and the coordination of all Kreab practices in the Spanish market. Carmen will report directly to the Board of Directors of the firm in Spain and will be part of the global committee of Managing Partners of Kreab. Likewise, she will continue to be responsible for the Financial Communication area.

Additionally, Jaime Olmos has been appointed Deputy Managing Partner of Kreab España, a position he will combine with his current status as head of the Public Affairs activity in Spain. Also, within Kreab Spain’s management structure, Teresa Lloret, Partner, will continue to serve as Head Office of the Barcelona office, and Susana Sanjuán as Partner of the Corporate Communication area.

Eugenio Martinez Bravo has been the top executive of Kreab Iberia since the start of the firm’s activity in Spain in 2001. From this position, he has been advising the firm’s clients on strategic, financial and public affairs matters, and he has a wide network of contacts in the investment community and in the media throughout Europe. He was previously Managing Director of Corporate Communications Investors Link, a company of the Omnicom Group, and worked for several years at HSBC in the area of ​​Corporate Banking and Capital Markets.

Carmen Basagoiti, on the other hand, has a long history in the field of financial communication, having led the development and consolidation of Kreab as the leading firm in this segment in the Spanish market. Kreab is currently the benchmark consultant in communication advice on operations in the Spanish market, having participated in most of the main IPOs in recent years. Previously, Carmen was Director of Investor Relations at Investors Link, an Omnicom Group company, and previously worked at Cemex and Schroders.

The start of Kreab’s activity in Spain dates back to 2001 and since then the firm has advised leading companies from various sectors, contributing from the communication and public affairs consultancy to achieve their strategic objectives. Kreab currently has a consolidated service offering grouped into four practices – Financial Communication, Public Affairs, Corporate Communication and Digital Communication – and with a team of approximately 100 consultants distributed between the offices of Madrid and Barcelona.

The announced changes will become effective from November 1st.
